While putting together suggested hikes for you in various degrees of difficulty, our tour guide Nina drew upon all her love and joy for traversing the lovely Tux mountains. As a Tux native and lifelong fan of the mountains, Nina knows the secret routes that only the locals and long-time visitors to Tux ever find. That means hidden mountain lakes and waterfalls, as well as enchanting sunrises on mountain peaks. Quality, not quantity. For the fittest of the fit, those with no fear of heights but plenty of desire to test their own limits, climbing world champion Matthias Schiestl has a program ready for you. He’s not only a state certified mountain guide, but also a specialist in multi-day tours, hikes in high alpine regions and rock climbing. Yet even if you’d rather climb in the Zillertal mountains on your own, he’s still available with tips for majestic hikes along alpine pasture or grueling routes that will leave you tired but grinning. Whatever your preference and ability. But always with absolute attention to safety.

If your feet are no longer quite as willing, then choose from one of 11 mountain lifts open in summer for easy and convenient transport up to the summits of the Zillertal mountains. Numerous rustic huts and alpine restaurants stand ready to greet hungry hikers with delicious regional dishes and perhaps a glass of the local schnapps.
